Family Shelter Service of Metropolitan Family Services DuPage transforms lives by offering help and hope to those affected by domestic violence.Since 1976, Family Shelter Service has answered the call in our community to help victims of domestic violence escape abuse and rebuild their lives. We work to eliminate barriers, provide faster, greater and more equal access to services in an environment where survivors can feel supported and empowered to disentangle from their situation. Together, we are building community and providing lifesaving services and critical programs to serve our clients as they restore their self-worth and their lives.

Established in 1978, the Community Youth Network is a nonprofit counseling center. It serves the mental health care needs of individuals, couples and families in Lake, Cook, Kenosha and McHenry counties in Illinois and southern Wisconsin. The center provides children, individual, couple and family therapies and trauma assessment services for physical and sexual abuse victims. It also offers Christian counseling and case and anger management services. Additionally, the Community Youth Network provides play therapy and outreach-based youth counseling services, as well as professional and community education and training programs. It employs licensed psychotherapists, social workers, volunteers and counselors. The Community Youth Network is located in Grayslake, Ill.
