Community Counseling Centers of Chicago

Since its establishment in 1972, Community Counseling Centers of Chicago, also called C4, has dedicated itself to healing and helping men, women and children that are struggling with mental illness, substance addiction and emotional trauma. C4 is a behavioral health and social service provider that provides services tailored to the cultural and economic diversity of its consumers. The organization was established as a grassroots response to a federal policy that left people released from psychiatric hospitals into communities unable to provide for their needs. C4 employs nearly 300 people that speak more than 20 languages and dialects. This includes psychiatrists, social workers, counselors, nurses, case managers and advocates. Services include community reintegration, crisis intervention and management, intensive case management, medication monitoring, money management, outpatient substance abuse treatment, psychological and psychiatric evaluations, sexual assault and abuse healing, vocational training, and individual, family and group psychotherapy.
