Clay County Rehabilitation/Admin Center

Established in 1974, Clay County Rehabilitation Center is a nonprofit agency that serves individuals with developmental disabilities in Southeastern Illinois. It offers a developmental training program that includes vocational training, prevocational training and teaching adult living skills. The agency also provides in-home services that include training and assistance in food preparation, shopping, accessing transportation and social activities in the community. In addition, it offers an evaluation program that assists disabled, dislocated and unemployed individuals in determining vocational objectives and capabilities. The program evaluates the individual in areas, such as physical performance, aptitude and abilities and vocational interests. Clay County Rehabilitation Center is located in Flora, Ill., and is approved by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.

The Doctors Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is a 120-plus-bed skilled nursing facility that offers a range of medical and health care services. The center offers services that include physical, occupational and speech therapies. Established in 1972, it provides services to meet the physical, mental and emotional needs of patients. The Doctors Nursing & Rehabilitation Center offers solutions for respiratory illnesses and traumatic brain injuries. The center provides stroke recovery, post-surgical care and orthopedic rehabilitation services. It also administers several wound healing programs. The Doctors Nursing & Rehabilitation Center additionally offers services for individuals with Alzheimer s disease. It is owned or managed by HI Care Management.

Effingham Rehabilitation & Health Care Center provides a range of nursing care services. It offers physical, occupational and oxygen therapy services. The center also provides speech pathology, podiatry, X-ray, drugs and medical delivery, and 24-hour pharmacy and laboratory services. Effingham Rehabilitation & Health Care Center operates a social service department that offers various social and recreational activities. It provides dietary and nursing service programs. The center organizes holiday parties, cookouts, and music and exercise sessions. Effingham Rehabilitation & Health Care Center is a part of Petersen Health Care, which owns and operates several nursing and assisted and supportive living facilities. It also operates independent living centers and homes for developmentally disabled people.
