The Children's Museum in Oak Lawn's mission is to positively impact a child's potential in life through play-based education. Every program and every exhibit at the Children's Museum is created with the Common Core standards (formerly the Illinois Learning Standards) at their core. These are the same standards that the Illinois Board of Education requires local school districts to use.
