Founded in 1956, Children s Chicago Choir is a multicultural, choral music education organization. It offers treble, men's and full-baritone ensembles for ages 8-to-18, and a multicultural repertoire including classical works, folk songs, jazz, gospel, and popular music from around the world. Chicago Children s Choir also offers training in sight-singing and basic music theory, and frequent performance opportunities. The choir s programs include more than 65 choruses in over 50 Chicago elementary schools, and more than five after school neighborhood choirs at sites throughout Illinois.
