Care for Real is a non-profit organization based in Chicago, IL, dedicated to providing food, clothing, referrals, and additional services with compassion to improve the health and well-being of low-income residents in the Edgewater and Rogers Park neighborhoods. With a mission to foster a stronger, healthier, equitable, and more stable community, Care for Real has been serving neighbors facing food insecurity for over 50 years.
Supported by a community of volunteers and donors, Care for Real relies on the generosity of Meal Makers and over 1,100 volunteers to distribute food five days a week to thousands of individuals in need.
