Brian Weatherford, MD

Dr. Mark Mikhael is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in surgical treatment of spine disorders such as disc herniations, stenosis, fractures, instability and degeneration (arthritis). His special interest is in complex cervical spine surgery. Whenever possible, he offers minimally invasive surgical techniques, which help avoid complications and reduce patient recovery times. He also has extensive experience in nerve decompression surgery and complex spinal reconstruction. Dr. Mikhael works with each patient to explore conservative treatment options before pursuing surgery. His goal for each patient is to increase their ability to engage in the activities they enjoy while reducing their pain and discomfort. He keeps informed of the latest developments in his field through his work as a manuscript reviewer for the journal entitled SPINE, the field’s leading research journal.

Dr. Michael O’Rourke is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in hip and knee replacements. He also provides other forms of hip and knee care. He has extensive experience in revision surgery (correcting an unsuccessful prior joint replacement). Dr. O’Rourke offers patients partial knee replacements using the MAKO robotic surgery system, which increases the accuracy of the joint replacement. His love of the sciences and working with his hands led Dr. O’Rourke to become a physician. He chose to specialize in orthopedics because it makes use of his natural mechanical ability and gives him opportunities to make a quick, tangible improvement in patients’ lives. He brings humility and genuine concern to the care of his patients. He takes time to know them and communicates honestly with them about what they can expect from their treatment. Dr. Christian Skjong is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training in hand and upper extremity surgery from Brown University’s Warren Alpert Medical School. He treats adults, adolescents, and children with conditions of the hand, wrist, arm, and elbow, including sports injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome, Dupuytren’s Contracture, and small joint replacements. A graduate of the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, Dr. Skjong is dedicated to offering the latest minimally invasive treatments. A guitarist himself, he values restoring function for patients whose livelihoods depend on their hands.
