Bloomington Church of Christ

History

The Bloomington Church of Christ was established in 1995 and is a part of a larger family of churches called the International Churches of Christ. We've traditionally had a campus ministry at ISU and the other area colleges and universities; a flux of students and graduates have come and gone over the years. Between their influence and the many people who have transferred in and out of jobs in local businesses, our community of believers is continually evolving and growing. We typically have about 100 people in attendance on Sunday mornings, which is a mixture of families, students, professionals, empty nesters and more. We're small enough that most of us who have been here for a few years know each other very well, but we're large enough that we have a wide range of backgrounds and interests within our congregation.

Loving God. Loving Others. Sharing the good news. We invite you to join a community of believers in the Bloomington/Normal area. We are passionate about discovering God's story and helping others understand it as well. We don't have all the answers, but we know what Jesus said about the most important things in in this life: Loving God with all our heart, mind, soul and strength; and loving our neighbors as ourselves (Matthew 22:37-39).
