Owner Russell Lowe has been a professional photographer since 1990 and established Balanced Exposure in 2009 initially as a post production company to help wedding photographers with their post production needs in correcting color and exposure. The company expanded its services by opening a rental studio for other photographers to utilize but quickly added a full training facility when it recognized the need to educate new digital photographers on the proper use of digital cameras and post production software. Today, the company concentrates mainly on educating photographers but continues to offer post production services and rents its studio during non-class hours.

Balanced Exposure is a digital photography training facility and rental studio. Students learn the latest in digital photography techniques as well as working with post production software such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom. In addition, students can rent the studio space during non-class hours to photograph family and friends.
