Arts and Public Life (APL) is a vibrant neighborhood platform for arts and culture located in Washington Park, Chicago. Established in 2011 as part of UChicago Arts, APL focuses on cultural stewardship and community partnership, offering residencies for local artists and creative entrepreneurs as well as arts education programs for youth.

A key component of the Arts Block, APL manages several accessible cultural spaces, including the Arts Incubator, Green Line Performing Arts Center, L1 Retail Store, and the Arts Lawn. I love Committed Knitters. These women are jewels when it comes to crocheting and knitting. I haven't any experience crocheting or knitting. I'm learning from them all. And it's free!
