Arlington Heights Park District

The Memorial Park District manages several facilities, such as recreation centers, playgrounds, parks, swimming pools, tennis courts, meeting halls, football fields and a gymnasium. Its recreation center occupies a space of more than 30,000 square feet and offers fitness programs. The district sponsors senior clubs for adults of 55 years and above. It also organizes adult fitness classes that include yoga, aerobics and womens body sculpting. The district s sewing classes offer the basics of pattern layout, fabric cutting and construction. Additionally, the district provides sports opportunities for youth, including dodgeball, karate, bowling, softball and soccer. The Memorial Park District also organizes summer camps that include sports, games, crafts, nature, movies and special events. Located in Hillside, Ill., the district administers a playground that is handicapped accessible.
