Anti-Defamation League

Founded in 1913, the Anti-Defamation League is a nonprofit, civil rights and human relations agency. It fights anti-Semitism and bigotry, defends democratic ideals and protects civil rights. The agency serves the citizens of Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota through its programs and services. Its interactive programs help schools develop an approach to confront against harassment and bullying through electronic media. The Anti-Defamation League works with law enforcement agencies to monitor extremists and investigate crimes and incidents. The agency s Summer Associate Research Program gives opportunity to participating associates to research on several topics, such as immigration, international issues, religious freedom and reproductive choice.
