Amy completed her 85 hour prenatal teacher training with Gurmukh, author of Bountiful, Beautiful, Blissful and founder of the preeminent prenatal studio, Golden Bridge Yoga, in Los Angeles, California in 2009. She is also a trained doula through the progressive and internationally recognized ToLabor organization and assists women in childbirth. She created the outreach prenatal yoga program serving Northwestern Hospital's ambulatory care patients, and brought prenatal yoga to expectant inmates at Cook County Jail in Chicago through the Yoga For Recovery program. She is an active board member of Health Connect One, a community based doula program mentoring young mothers in underserved areas across the country.
