Alsip Park District

Apollo Recreation Center is part of the Alsip Park District, established in 1965 in Alsip, Ill. The park district consists of more than 20 park locations, occupying over 200 acres of parkland, providing the local community with parks, recreational facilities, activities and programs. Apollo Recreation Center, in collaboration with the district s board of commissioners and volunteers, offers more than 800 recreational and leisure programs for children, youth and adults. Activities such as arts and crafts, adult athletics, after-school program, golf lessons, parent and child programs, dance and fitness classes and gymnastics are offered throughout the year. Apollo Recreation Center also organizes trips, youth and teen programs and summer camps.
