HistoryThe CareLink Foundation was founded in 2000 to provide health and social services to low-income children living in DuPage County, Illinois. With the Affordable Care Act most low-income children became eligible for Medicaid and other social services which decreased the need for CareLink's services in the community. After careful consideration, CareLink decided to re-focus their mission to help the people of Honduras. We are dedicated to helping those who live is even more dire living conditions by providing micro-finance loans to women who desire to start small businesses as well as providing water filters so their families have access to clean water. For many years CareLink volunteers have gone to Honduras to provide healthcare services to families who otherwise have no access to care. They found that many suffered from parasitic conditions due to lack of clean water...thus the initiative to fund water filters was born!SpecialtiesThe CareLink Foundation is a non-profit providing micro-finance loans in Honduras for women to start small businesses as well as water filters to provide safe drinking waters for their communities.
