The Rockford Park District is a local unit of municipal government that cares for the public s property and assets and provides a high-quality recreation experience. The organization is a stand-alone type of government with a specific role and designated responsibilities to provide to people by Illinois state statute. It was formed in 1909 and is governed by an elected five-member board of commissioners who serve six-year terms without compensation. The Rockford Park District is the second largest municipal park system in Illinois. The organization serves the communities of Rockford, Loves Park, Cherry Valley and New Milford, Ill. It establishes and maintains park and recreation systems for the health, well-being and entertainment of citizens.

Golf course was in great condition! The pace of play was horrible! Took 1-hour to play 3 holes!

We did a family outing with three groups on a weekday. They harassed us all day. The most we ever were behind pace was 13 minutes. The course was full twosomes expecting to play 3:30 hour rounds....

No GPS on the carts. They have bathrooms on the course and a beverage cart. Great finishing hole. Fun course, and a great deal, as it was $60. Restaurant not open on Sunday.
