Kendrick is a small community nestled along the southern border of Latah County, Idaho, originally founded in 1889 by Thomas Kirby. Initially named Latah, it was later renamed Kendrick in honor of the chief engineer of the Northern Pacific Railroad after a guarantee for track extension was secured in 1890.

Today, Kendrick is characterized by its quaint charm and community spirit, exemplified by the Ed Corkill Memorial Bike Trail, which connects Kendrick with the neighboring town of Juliaetta. The Kendrick-Juliaetta 7 Ridges Community Development Association (KJ7CDA) works to enhance local resources and foster growth for residents and visitors alike.
