The idea came while Steve Hunt, CPA was teaching taxes and accounting to undergraduates, and he noticed that about 90% of his students were missing out on thousands of dollars in missed tax refunds. He wanted to fix that by amending students' tax returns for the past three years and getting them the money they missed out on the first time. This business was started in June of 2015 by knocking on doors and going to people's homes to amend their returns.
