Our first large rescue would have to be when Bonnie W. and I (Jenn P.) drove from North Idaho to the very bottom of California. We met with other nonprofit rescuers and took dogs out of two shelters. We brought back and placed 18 dogs in loving families. Most people are shocked to hear that we drove almost 2,000 miles with 18 dogs. We lucked out in getting a Litter ;) that slept most of the many, many miles. We have gone on to work with shelters a little closer to home, though we still get dogs from the sunny state.
