Workers Compensation

Workers Compensation is a division of the Department of Human Resources Development, which is governed by the State of Hawaii. The division is responsible for handling claims filed by executive branch employees, as well as authorizing benefits for the payment of lost wages and medical expenses relating to injuries and illnesses. Workers Compensation also handles the implementation and maintenance of the state s Return to Work Priority Program, which focuses on finding alternate employment opportunities. The division oversees the state s temporary disability benefits plan. The Department of Human Resources Development provides services for the recruitment, management and retention of workers in the state.
