The Hawaiinuiakea School of Hawaiian Knowledge, established in 2007, is a unique institution located at the Manoa campus. It serves as a center for Hawaiian studies, language, and cultural revitalization, making it the first new school since 1982 and the only college of indigenous knowledge within a Research I institution in the United States.

Comprising the Kamakakõkalani Center for Hawaiian Studies, Kawaihuelani Center for Hawaiian Language, and Ka Papa Lo‘i o Knewai Cultural Garden, the mission of Hawaiinuiakea is to perpetuate research and revive all aspects of Hawaiian knowledge. The school emphasizes community engagement and offers various courses and workshops to support the Native Hawaiian student population.
