History
Third Stone was founded by Pete Matthews, who began the shop at Jakos, in his garage. Eventually, Stephen Matthews, his brother, took over the shop, so Pete could get into producing surf films. Today, Pete is in Bali, Indonesia - running a couple of successful surf shops, and Waialua Surf Shop is in the Sugar Mill, in Waialua. Handcrafted surfboards are the foundation of what we do here. We make boards for the pros, and beginners alike.

Not too shabby. I really live the wrapped canvas art in the front and will probably be back for a few pieces. I must have "tourist" stamped on my face, because when I asked about consignment...
