Tatiana Howard

History

Tatiana Howard is an accomplished, engaged, and connected Maui local wahine (Hawaiian for woman). Her background in the islands has infused her with the aloha spirit from the land, ocean, and people. Growing up on Maui, working in and being a part of the community provides Tatiana with an intimate knowledge of the island's diversities and nuances to find those hidden gems for her clients. Her love, respect, and connection to the land, culture, of Maui birthed an intense desire to give back to her community and Ohana. Tatiana's surfing success and world recognition provided a platform to help others in the form of The Butterfly Effect, a non-competitive event to teach, inspire, and promote women in water sports and to give back to local charities. The Butterfly Effect was created by Tatiana Howard in 2007 at Ho'okipa w and now it is a worldwide movement taking place in over 19 countries, 50+ events, thousands of participants, and awarded SUP Award Top Philanthropic Effort for 2016.
