The Chinatown Improvement District (CID) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to improving conditions in the greater Chinatown area of Honolulu, HI. Comprised of generational stakeholders, businesses, residents, and the interested public, the CID works collaboratively with non-profits, government entities, and local businesses to find solutions to issues and problems, ensuring the preservation and enhancement of the ethnic, cultural, and historical character of Chinatown.
Since its establishment in 2010, the CID has been actively involved in a wide range of projects and programs, including policy work, advocacy, safety, security, preservation, economic development, research, education, and community events.
