Sugar Beach, also known as Kealia Beach, is said to be the longest beach on Maui, stretching for about 2.5 miles from Ma'alaea to north Kihei. With its long sandy shoreline, it is perfect for a leisurely beach stroll and offers a peaceful atmosphere with few buildings and visitors. The beach is popular among kite and windsurfers, as well as kayakers, who take advantage of the breezy offshore winds. It is also a great spot for whale watching during the winter months.
Located along North Kihei Road, Sugar Beach is easily accessible and offers beautiful views of the ocean. While there are no facilities or lifeguards on the beach, it provides ideal conditions for windsurfing, kitesurfing, and kayaking. Visitors can enjoy walking or jogging along the sandy shoreline, taking in the stunning sunsets, and exploring the nearby attractions and activities in the Kihei area.
