History

Ray, the founder/owner of Oahu Surf Lessons began working as a certified Surf Instructor for numerous north shore surf lesson companies in 2009. He and his fellow certified instructors/employees have a vast amount of surfing, and ocean knowledge that will surely provide a solid foundation for this company to grow and thrive for many years to come.

Specialties

Oahu Surf Lessons makes learning to surf as easy as possible! We specialize in introducing surfing to people of all ages. Our instructors are certified and have at least 10 years of surfing experience. The waves will be perfect for learning at just 1 - 2 feet tall. You will first learn about surfing basics like how to paddle, stand up, and balance during a 15 minute beach lesson. Safety, and other general surfing knowledge will also be explained to you. The surfboards that you will be riding are specially designed for learning. They are a few feet longer and 2 - 3 inches thicker then advanced surfboards. The extra length and thickness makes them very easy to balance on. They also have a layer of a soft, padded material on the outside for safety. Once you have been pushed into a few waves by your instructor and have found your balance, we can easily explain how to catch your own waves by paddling into them. We can honestly say that 99.9% of our customers/students leave with a smile on their face, and a great understanding of how to surf!!
