The Hawai inui kea School of Hawaiian Knowledge, established in 2007, encompasses the Kamakak okalani Center for Hawaiian Studies, Kawaihuelani Center for Hawaiian Language, and the Ka Papa Lo i o K newai Cultural Garden. It is the first new school on the M noa campus since 1982 and stands as the only college of indigenous knowledge within a Research I institution in the United States.

The mission of Hawai inui kea is to pursue, perpetuate research, and revitalize all areas and forms of Hawaiian knowledge. Through its various programs and initiatives, it aims to foster a deep understanding and appreciation of Hawaiian culture and heritage.
