Visiting Mauna Loaʻs Visitor Center is a must when it comes to visiting Hawaiʻi Island. Beginning in 1946, in the shadow of Mauna Loa volcano herself, we learned to grow and roast our macadamias to produce a nut with luscious buttery flavor and satisfying crunch—becoming a Hawaiian icon in the process.

Island Princess

Island Princess has become one of Hawaii s top manufacturers of specialty macadamia nut products, luscious chocolates and gourmet confections. Island Princess is subsidiary of Purdyco International. Island Princess has the 1,100-acre macadamia nut orchard and processing facility at Keaau on The Big Island of Hawaii. The candies are manufactured and distributed by the company s facility at the Orchard Heights Winery near Salem, Ore. The company s products are Caramel Popcorns, Chocolate Coffee Beans, Gourmet Chocolates, Macadamia Nuts and Mele Macs. Mele Macs are roasted, whole macadamia nuts that are covered in rich toffee, drenched in luscious milk chocolate, followed by a sweet dusting of powered sugar.

Hawaiian Macadamia Nut Orchards, L.P.

ML Macadamia Orchards is the world's largest grower of macadamia nuts, owning or leasing more than 4,000 acres of macadamia orchards on the island of Hawaii. All of the macadamia nuts it harvests are sold exclusively to Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Corporation, a privately owned company that processes and markets the macadamia nuts and macadamia nut products under the Mauna Loa brand name. The company had revenues of more than $17 million in 2005 and produced almost 22 million pounds of macadamia nuts.
