KEEPING MEXICAN CUISINE AUTHENTIC Mr Hector Portillo opened Mariachis Authentic Mexican Restaurant in 2006 in the town of Lihue. His menu inspiration came from different states in Mexico with specialties that appeal to a diverse clientele. The signature recipes came from his grandmothers passion to cook authentic mexican cuisine in the state of Guerrero Mexico. The restaurant was received so well by the community of Kauai that Mr Portillo decided to open a second location in the Heart of Historic Kapa'a Town. This area was in need of a warm and friendly place with excellent food. For over a decade, Mariachis has served the Kauai Community with great success. The combination of flavors and the great mexican ambiance is what makes Mariachis a very special Authentic Mexican Restaurant.
