Konawaena High School

Located in Kealakekua, Hawaii, Konawaena High School offers a comprehensive academic program, special education and support services, vocational studies and a range of co-curricular activities and athletics. It offers courses in English, mathematics, science, social studies and physical education. It also offers classes in Asian-European Pacific languages, fine arts, basic keyboarding, business communication and beginning accounting. The school has a course in business communication that is designed to help the students understand the importance of effective communication in business situations and environments. Its basic keyboarding course introduces touch-operating skills to keyboard characters and proper manipulation of operating parts of computers and typewriters. The school s sports activities include paddling, bowling, cheerleading, football, swimming, soccer and tennis. Konawaena High School s student clubs include family, career and community leaders of America, mural projects, robotic vehicles and Web design class.
