Wahiawa, HI 96786

Keanianileihuaokalani Healing Stone in Wahiawa, HI is a significant cultural site where Hawaiian and Hindu traditions intersect. The large tongue-shaped stone, believed to possess sacred healing properties by Hawaiians and revered as an embodiment of the god Shiva by Hindus, is now split into three pieces and located at the lower end of California Avenue in Wahiawa.

Visitors can witness the rituals performed by practitioners, such as anointing the stone with Wai ihiawa rainwater and offering gifts like awa root, olena sprigs, herbs, lei, and flowers. The stone, once housed in a dilapidated concrete shed, has been transformed into a white marble shrine by a Hindu family. Although the site drew numerous pilgrims in the 1930s, it is now a lesser-known destination off the beaten path.
