History

Kathmandu Trading Company started in June 2005. I wanted to showcase the beauty and spiritual nature of the hand made art and antiques of the Himalayas. Buddhist and Hindu in nature, the different God's and Goddesses along with the traditional folk art of the region have always intrigued me. I have been going to Nepal and Burma since 1973. The temples and rituals have always made a big impression on my artistic self. I wanted to recreate the feeling that you get from visiting Nepal and Southeast Asia by putting the Dieties and artifacts from the Temples and Monasteries that I found in shops and different places along my path. The reds and gold of the Temples along with morrors, Tigers and Dragons all make for a desirable sourrounding! Kathmandu Trading Company is a rare find and a memorable experience to behold. It is a blessing in my life and many other families in Nepal and Burma as well.
