Ka Lae Coffee, located in Naalehu, HI, is a beloved local coffee shop that has been a gathering place for the community since its inception in 2013. Originally started by Kate Haynes and her mother, Marla MacCasland, the café has become an iconic part of the South Point and Ka'u region.

In the spring of 2020, Luke and Chauntelle, a local family and friends of the original owners, took over the café to continue its legacy. They are dedicated to serving 100% Kau coffee sourced from their family's coffee farm, fostering connections with both locals and visitors alike.

Ordered a matcha and told the gal I didn't want it too sweet. She ended up making it with no flavor at all. I love matcha and know how it's supposed to taste, that was not it.
