History

Island Roots Surf School prides ourselves on teaching surfing that was passed down from generation to generation of local Kauai knowledge of our aina (land) and oceans to provide a true Hawaiian cultural experience. Our certified expert instructors will teach you how to stand up and ride a wave, how to read and select waves, paddling techniques, timing, etiquette, ocean safety, and more. Our surf lesson is created for everyone: kids, families, adults and no group size is too large!
