Established in 2007, the Hawai inui kea School of Hawaiian Knowledge is the first new college on the M noa campus since 1982 and the only college of indigenous knowledge within a Research I institution in the United States. The school encompasses the Kamakak okalani Center for Hawaiian Studies, Kawaihuelani Center for Hawaiian Language, and Ka Papa Lo i O K newai Cultural Garden, aiming to perpetuate, research, and revitalize all areas of Hawaiian knowledge.

Hawai inui kea is dedicated to fostering a deep appreciation and understanding of Hawaiian culture through academic excellence and community engagement. With a range of programs including workshops and cultural resources, the school actively supports Native Hawaiian student services and emphasizes partnerships within the community.

The courtyard is a nice place to stop and chat with people on the way to class. There are BBQ pits where people have BBQ parties sometimes and UH puts on some cool events here, like Poly Fest....

I've never really dormed at UH while I was an undergrad but this place seems to be like the "Campus Center" of the residential hall areas for the people who dorm. It's right in the middle of all...
