History

My wife Terri and I started SeaFun Kauai in 1989 and ran our first snorkel tour in May of 1990. I am a Canadian transplant, dive instructor/accountant. Terri is a California transplant, artist/Virgo. The concept caught on and we soon got contracts with the cruise ships that visit Kauai. Things were going well. September 11th, 1992, Hurricane Iniki hit. Things were not going so well. We stuck our neck out and bought Kauai Mountain Tours after they did not survive the post hurricane depression. KMT had permits to go off road in Kokee and three broken down old vans. We changed the name to Aloha Kauai Tours, Inc. and diversified. Things were going well. September 11th, 2001, you know, things were not going so well. The industry was virtually shut down again. American Hawaii Cruises went bankrupt owing us tens of thousands of dollars. In October of 2000 we moved in to our base yard in Puhi. It is perfect for our business, we live here to save money, and we survived the recession.

Since 1990, Aloha Kauai Tours has been offering a full spectrum of tours throughout Kauai, Hawaii, for guests and visitors. Our expert guided tours include snorkeling, eco, hiking, four-wheel drive, crater, rainforest tours and more, and can be chartered for mixed or private groups.
