KABOOM is a non-profit organization based in Bethesda, MD, dedicated to ending playspace inequity and creating inclusive and accessible community-built playspaces for children. With a focus on public policy advocacy, disaster and crisis recovery grants, and the 25 in 5 Initiative, KABOOM works towards providing every child with the opportunity to play and thrive.
Through their Map of Play project, KABOOM aimed to be the go-to resource for parents and caregivers to find, rate, and discuss playgrounds in their communities. The project grew to include tens of thousands of parks, playgrounds, and other recreational spaces, helping KABOOM identify areas in the United States that lacked playspaces. Although the Map of Play website has been closed, KABOOM continues to utilize the location information to inform their work in building inspiring playspaces for children everywhere.

A small neighborhood park with a covered courtyard, baseball field, tennis/volleyball (BYON) and basketball court. They recently added a small playground structure as well.
