Mead is perhaps best known as the drink of the Gods, yet many have never heard of this wonderful golden nectar, let alone tasted it! A simple description would be a wine fermented with honey instead of grapes. Mead is not a wine exactly, nor is it a beer. It has similar qualities of both, however it truly is something all it's own. Mead can range from sweet to dry, like a wine. Yet flavors can be as exotic and unusual as many of today's craft beers.
