Although I began writing a cookbook in 2011, I began incubating the full business in 2012, when I created the current mix version I have today. I started with a Kickstarter campaign and eventually help from friends and family to generate seed money to start the business. From there I developed the business with two mentors (SBDC and food allergies expert). The first year I vended one weekly market and a twice monthly market. In 2016, I was in 3 steady weekly markets and a 4th market on and off. That year we saw an increase in private orders for birthdays and other parties. Since 2017, TAFV was back in incubation, including participating in a business accelerator program through Emory's School for Business. The business re-entered the market in 2020, and is currently taking private orders by phone, email, and online.

The Allergy Friendly Vegetarian is a local food company based in Atlanta, GA that offers dry baking mixes (Muff'n Stuff), ready to eat and private order baked goods, a cookbook, and consulting services for people with the 10 common food allergies, Celiac Disease, or those who are vegan. It's owned and operated by Jessica McMorris, who started the company after her own food allergies and intolerances was the catalyst for developing the baking mix and many other delicious recipes that are also safe to eat. TAFV vends local markets serving up scrumptious ready to eat baked goods and their line of dry baking mixes. We also take private orders.
