Summer Waves Water Park

Summer Waves Family Waterpark is located on Jekyll Island, off the Georgia coast, midway between Savannah and Jacksonville, Fla. A six-mile causeway separates Jekyll Island from the mainland and the city of Brunswick. One of many barrier islands on Georgia's coast, Jekyll is neighbored to the north by St. Simons Island and to the south by Cumberland Island. Summer Waves offers rides, attractions and events for families visiting Jekyll Island. Among the favored rides is Pirates Passage with five-story water slides offering a high thrill inner tube ride. Turtle Creek is a half mile river that goes around Summer Waves at the turtle pace of 3 mph. Nature s Revenge has more twists and turns than a tornado, with a curving downward drop of 330 feet into a pool. Frantic Atlantic offers tidal one of Georgia s largest wave pools, with 204-foot waves on a 10-minute cycle and 500,000 gallons of water. Force 3 consists of two body slides and one inner tube slide spiraling down 150 feet, into an enclosed flume, ending in a steep 32 foot. plunge into a runout. Summer Waves lifeguards are certified by the Starfish Aquatic Institute. CPR and first aid and a complete First Aid Station is located at the entrance of the park and is staffed by an EMT.
