The Silver Comet Trail is a scenic 61.5-mile paved pedestrian rail-trail located in Hiram, GA, just 13 miles northwest of Atlanta. It offers an accessible route for walkers, hikers, bicyclists, rollerbladers, horseback riders, and dog walkers, connecting Cobb, Paulding, and Polk counties.
This non-motorized trail begins at Mavell Road Trailhead in Smyrna, Georgia, and extends to the Georgia-Alabama state line, where it links to the Chief Ladiga Trail. Plans are in progress to further integrate the Silver Comet into a broader regional and national trail network, enhancing connectivity for local communities.
