Raul Blanco, M.D. FACC, received his Bachelors of Science in biology with a minor in chemistry and a Bachelors of Arts in economics with a minor in mathematics from the University of Miami in Miami, FL. He then went on to earn his medical degree from the University of Miami School Of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Emory University. Prior to joining Piedmont Heart, Dr. Blanco completed fellowships in cardiology and advanced cardiac imaging at Emory University. Dr. Blanco is board certified in Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology, Cardiovascular CT and Cardiac MRI. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography, Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance, American Society of Echocardiography, and the American Heart Association. Dr. Blanco enjoys traveling and has visited over 26 countries and most of the United States. He recently he has been exploring the Georgia mountains and the many parks and trails in the Atlanta area with his wife and two daughters. Dr. Blanco welcomes new patients and accepts most insurance plans.

If you are not in Piedmont Healthcare system, I highly recommend switching! My Internist and Dr. Blanco have given me quality care. Dr. Blanco is one of, if not the best Cardiologist in ATL area....

Dr. Martin was the first physician in Georgia to perform Bronchoscopic Lung Volume Reduction. This is the first FDA-approved lung valve device to help emphysema patients breathe easier and regain daily activities without major surgery. In her spare time, Dr. Martin enjoys traveling around the world, spending time with her loved ones and being in the air.
