Paul Patel, M.D.

Dr. Jessica D. McCluskey, M.D. is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained retina specialist. She has been recognized throughout her career for compassionate patient care, surgical skills, and excellence in teaching. Dr. McCluskey sees patients in our Sandy Springs and Newnan locations. After earning a Bachelor of Science at Boston College she returned to her home state of Mississippi to complete her Medical Degree. During Medical School at the University of Mississippi, she received Awards in Excellence in the fields of Ophthalmology and Neurosurgery. Dr. McCluskey followed with a four-year Ophthalmology residency at the University of Mississippi where she served as Chief Resident.

Vidya P. Phoenix, M.D. is a board-certified, a fellowship-trained pediatric ophthalmologist. She specializes in comprehensive medical and surgical pediatric eye care. Her special interests include early diagnosis and treatment of amblyopia and strabismus. Prior to joining Thomas Eye Group, Dr. Phoenix practiced pediatric ophthalmology in southeast Atlanta where her hospital affiliations included Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston and Southern Regional Medical Center. Dr. Phoenix has completed extensive research and presentations in the areas of pediatric ocular trauma and bilateral congenital cataracts among other topics, and her work has been published in several ophthalmology journals.

Dr. Philip Garza is a board-certified, fellowship-trained glaucoma and cataract surgeon. He specializes in the marriage of modern glaucoma surgery with advanced technology cataract surgery. He offers complete medical and surgical care for glaucoma and performs the full range of glaucoma surgery techniques, from glaucoma laser procedures and state-of-the-art minimally-invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) techniques to traditional procedures like tube-shunt surgery and trabeculectomy.
