Northside Volunteer Fire Department

The Colquitt County Volunteer Firefighters Association is dedicated to providing essential fire prevention, suppression, rescue, and medical first responder services throughout Colquitt County, Georgia. With 15 strategically located volunteer fire stations and 175 active volunteers, the association responds to over 800 fires and vehicle crashes annually, as well as assisting with more than 1,000 medical calls each year.

In 2016, the association achieved an outstanding Public Protection Classification rating of class 5 from the Insurance Services Office, indicating a high level of service for an all-volunteer fire department. This rating allows residents and business property owners within five miles of a fire station to benefit from discounted insurance rates.
