Newton Medical Center

The Birthcare Center provides birth care services to newborn babies and their families. It offers private suites equipped with medical technologies, as well as overnight accommodations for accompanying family members. The center s staff of nurses provides advice and assistance services on feeding and bathing activities. The Birthcare Center also offers epidural and spinal anesthesia for laboring mothers. Additionally, it provides educational classes that include prenatal and postnatal instructional support. Located in Covington, Ga., the Birthcare Center is a part of the Newton Medical Center, which was opened in 1954 as Newton General Hospital. The Newton Medical Center has a laboratory and operates emergency and physical therapy departments.
