Founded in 1983 by former FBI special agent Ralph Childs, The Network was originally a 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week anonymous reporting system that allowed employees to report unethical, illegal or irresponsible activities to their employers without fear of reprisal. The company has since grown into a technology-based firm that helps clients collect information and address critical issues such as ethics, risk management and service quality. Via award-winning proprietary software and a state-of-the-art call center, the company provides hotlines, insurance claim reporting and employee communications to more than 1,700 clients, including nearly 45 percent of Fortune 500 firms.
