Muhammad Farms, located in Bronwood, GA, is a 1556-acre farm that serves as the catalyst for the development of a sustainable food and fiber production system. Redeemed by Minister Louis Farrakhan in 1995 for the Three Year Economic Program, the farm is part of a larger 4500-acre tract of land purchased by the Honorable Elijah Muhammad in the 1960s. With its vast size, Muhammad Farms covers an area equivalent to Central Park in New York City or the Mall in D.C., but three times as wide.
Recognizing the challenges faced by farmers in the current market, Muhammad Farms aims to establish stable markets in cities and become the marketing agents for Black farmers. By focusing on niche markets and implementing a system of transportation and storage equipment, the farm seeks to cut down labor costs and ensure employment opportunities for multiple families. With a vision for sustainable agriculture and economic empowerment, Muhammad Farms is committed to transforming the farming landscape and supporting the Black community.
