Thompson withdrew from the partnership in 1956 when he became Judge of the Superior Court for the Chattahoochee Judicial Circuit of Georgia. The firm then became Thompson & Redmond. There were several additions to the firm and withdrawals as well as name changes, but the partners Roscoe Thompson and Lee R. Redmond, Jr. continued together in their professional relationship and partnership for 44 years. W. Perrin Nicolson joined them in 1978 and became a partner in August, 1983, when the name of the firm became Thompson, Redmond & Nicolson. Steven W. Ray was associated with the firm in 1986, became a partner on March 1, 1993, and the name was changed to Thompson, Redmond, Nicolson & Ray. Robert P. Turner, was associated with the firm in 2004. On January 1, 2011, Lee R. Redmond, Jr. retired from the practice of law, and the two remaining partners joined with Hudson Law Offices, LLC to form the new firm of Hudson, Nicolson & Ray, LLC. On January 1, 2012, Mr. Hudson left the firm, and on April 1, 2012, the firm name was officially changed to its present name of NICOLSON, RAY & TURNER, LLC.
