Dr. Bowers, a board-certified general surgeon, hails from Thomson, GA, and attended Sewanee University in Tennessee. There, she excelled academically, graduating with honors while also competing as a member of the women's varsity basketball team. In 2015, she received her medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Bowers's commitment to surgical excellence led her to be named Chief Surgical Resident, completing her residency training at Stony Brook Southampton in Long Island, NY.On the other hand, Morgan Groothand, a board-certified nurse practitioner and Master Aesthetic Injector, earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Augusta University, preparing her for a career in facial aesthetics. She began her journey in the field in 2018, working under the guidance of one of Georgia's top Plastic Surgeons. After four years with that practice, Morgan decided to elevate her career and join forces with Wingfield Aesthetics, bringing elite injector services to the Thomson community.Both professionals have established themselves as leaders in their respective fields. Dr. Bowers, known for her expertise as a general surgeon, and Morgan Groothand, renowned as one of the most sought-after injectors in the CSRA, share a dedication to their patients' well-being and achieving exceptional results. Dr. Bowers is married to Jefferson Dillon Bowers, a Green Beret who earned a Master's Degree from Harvard while she was completing her residency training. Together, they reside in Thomson with their son, Cullen, grateful for the opportunity to return to their hometown and continue serving their community. Dr. Bowers and Morgan Groothand exemplify their commitment to excellence, going above and beyond to ensure the highest level of care for their patients.
