Edgefield County Historical Society

The Edgefield County Historical Society, founded in 1939, is one of the oldest county historical societies in South Carolina, dedicated to preserving and promoting the rich history of Edgefield County. Over its eight decades, the Society has published numerous scholarly materials and organized major events, including historical home tours and conferences, while fostering the restoration of historic structures and sites.
